Now with the download of MobiTeller, you can have the convenience of depositing checks with the mobile banking app, simply by logging in and taking a picture of your check front and back with your mobile device. This makes banking on the go even more convenient!
Here’s what you need:
NetTeller ID. If you already have one, you’re almost there! If you don’t, click here to fill out an online application or click here to download and fill out our paper application and return to one of our convenient branches.
A smart phone or a tablet where you have downloaded our mobile app called MobiTeller. (For Apple users, you must be on version 3.28. For Android users, you must be on version 3.30. If you downloaded the app prior to August 25, 2016, you must update your app.)
Log in to the app using your NetTeller ID.
Enroll in mobile deposit. You’ll find an icon within the app that looks like a check with an arrow pointing up. Select this icon and follow the prompts to enroll.
That’s it! You are ready to deposit!
There are some rules / fine print that you’ll need to take note of when making a deposits. We’ve listed them here. These guidelines can also be found in the Mobile Banking Agreement.
Checks must be properly endorsed with your signature. Additionally, you must write “For Deposit Only” on the back.
Checks are to be destroyed (shredded) after you have confirmed the check has been deposited to your account and 30 days have passed.
Checks deposited by Mobile Deposit cannot be deposited again elsewhere. Checks previously deposited through another bank’s Mobile Deposit or Remote Deposit cannot be deposited through First National Bank.
Only checks with the account owner’s name can be deposited to the account. If it does not match, the bank reserves the right to reject the deposit. If the check is made out jointly it must be deposited into a joint account.
The bank reserves the right to reject a deposit if the bank determines the check looks fraudulent or appears it has been altered.
The cutoff time for deposits made using the Mobile Deposit Service is 2 pm Central Standard Time, Monday thru Friday, except holidays. A deposit made using Mobile Deposit will be credited to your account after 3:00 pm Central Standard Time on the business day submitted if it is submitted prior to 2:00 pm CST. If the day you submit a deposit falls on a weekend or a holiday or is submitted after 2:00 pm CST, we will process the deposit the next business day.
Consumers will only be allowed to deposit 5 checks per day and only 15 checks per month. If you go over these limits, the bank reserves the right to reject your deposit.
Consumers will only be allowed to deposit $1500 per day and up to $3000 per month. If you go over these limits, the bank reserves the right to reject your deposit.
Business Accounts will only be allowed to deposit 10 checks per day and only 30 checks per month. If you go over these limits, the bank reserves the right to reject your deposit.
Business Accounts will only be allowed to deposit $3000 per day and up to $6000 per month. If you go over these limits, the bank reserves the right to reject your deposit.
Business Accounts may be charged a fee for checks deposited via mobile deposit.
Foreign checks, checks over 6 months postdated, 3rd party checks, and savings bonds are not allowed and will be rejected.
Customers failing to abide by the guidelines provided above may have their mobile deposit privileges revoked.
